Welcome to episode 171 of The PE Umbrella podcast, the ONLY dedicated Primary PE Podcast in the world!
Joining me Under the Umbrella this week is Primary PE teacher and former coach Tom Feighan. As always, I can safely say that you will not be disappointed with this episode and what Tom brings to the table this week.
I had the pleasure of hearing Tom speak at the Dream Big Sports Active Schools Conference earlier this year and I knew from that point onwards I’d love to speak with him on the show. In terms of his background, it is very similar to mine in terms of his coaching background in the US and leading to his current role now. Listening to Tom at the conference, it was impressive to hear him breakdown how his school have maximised the Primary PE & Sport premium spend to provide a wonderful lasting impact on the school, students and community.
During this episode, we ventured down the usual rabbit holes and of course, dived into the regular show questions too…
– What currently excites you about PE?
– What misconceptions of Primary PE would you banish to room 101 given the chance?
– What is your perfect primary PE lesson recipe?
– What was the worst PE lesson you ever taught and why?
All of that plus top class-management tips, favourite warm-up games and behaviour management advice, you are sure to leave this episode with a fresh perspective and ideas to try!
So what are you waiting for? Come on over and join us Under the PE Umbrella.
