Welcome to episode 211 of The PE Umbrella podcast, the ONLY dedicated Primary PE Podcast in the world!
Joining me Under the Umbrella this week is the director of Dream Big Sports and Active Education Co Dale Harris. Having had the pleasure of presenting some EYFS teaching tips at the Dream Big conference pre-Covid in early 2020, it was only a matter of time before Dale came on the show and it really has been a long time coming. Dale works tirelessly to support and improve primary PE provision for the many schools he works alongside and is surrounded by an impressive team to help him achieve this mission.
After seeing from afar the excellent work he has done I was keen to dig a little deeper and learn a little more about Dales opinions on the primary PE sector, his ideas and what makes him tick. As expected, it was a free-flowing conversation spoken with honesty and passion about a subject that we all love.
During this episode, we spoke about a range of PE related topics. Questions include but weren’t limited to:
– What currently excites you about primary PE?
– Which PE misconceptions would you banish given the chance?
-What is your ideal PE lesson recipe?
-What was the worst lesson you ever taught and what did you learn from it?
Not only that, we discover some top tips for class management and some warm-up activities!
So what are you waiting for? Grab your notepad (s) and a pen, then come and join us Under the PE Umbrella.
