Welcome to episode 192 of The PE Umbrella podcast, the ONLY dedicated Primary PE Podcast in the world!
Joining me Under the Umbrella this week is PE advisor and the Director of Complete PE Catherine Fitzpatrick. With multiple years of experience of PE to her name, there’s very little practically that Catherine hasn’t done or doesn’t know. This podcast episode gave me the opportunity to dive into the mind behind one of the most popular Primary PE resources in the UK and see what’s actually going on.
As expected I found a thoughtful, articulate individual who cares deeply about the PE that our children receive. Of course, things haven’t always been plain sailing for Catherine and our discussion allowed us to speak about her early days teaching and draw out some excellent nuggets of advice that we can all apply to our own teaching careers right now. We explore the regular set up of questions and dive off into the usual few tangents too!
Some of our talking points include:
– What currently excites you in the PE world?
– What is your ideal PE lesson recipe?
– What was the worst lesson you ever taught and why?
– A PE resource you couldn’t live without?
– Tell me a PE resource you simply couldn’t live without
