Welcome to episode 175 of The PE Umbrella podcast, the ONLY dedicated Primary PE Podcast in the world!
After a brief (but much needed) break from the podcast, we are back with a bang this week as I talk about The recent launch of The PE Umbrella library. Many of you will have used the free resources on my site before and be familiar with what The PE Umbrella represents. The Library is a culmination of 10 years of teaching PE, clubs and holiday camps and sorting the incredible activities from the useless! I’ve reimagined the activities with a sprinkle of PE Umbrella fairy dust to produce what I believe is the most comprehensive and easy to follow activity cards out there.
This is certainly not a scheme, but rather a buffet of PE activities that are separated by year group and unit focus that you can download and dip in and out of at your leisure. I’m a huge fan of giving the children we teach autonomy, and rather than create ‘schemes’ that are the total package, I wanted you, the teachers and coaches, to decide upon your own path, own objectives and own learning journey, then use the library to inspire you along the way. After all, you know your students, school and catchment far better than I ever could.
So for as little as 4.99GBP a month or 49.99GBP a year (that’s a fraction of your PE premium spend!), you can have full access to the library that is on a trajectory to grow with new activities and units added every month. So what are you waiting, get your stretch trousers at the ready and come and join me in The PE Umbrella Library for a feast!
Don’t forget to subscribe to The PE Umbrella on Apple Podcasts by following the link above, as well as your other favourite podcast providers. I would love for you to rate and review the show there, giving me insight into what I can do to further improve the quality of the show for you! Until next time though, have a great week motivating, engaging and inspiring the children that you teach, and I’ll see you soon, ‘Under the Umbrella’.
