“They learn something new, they leave feeling fitter, they leave with smiles on their faces”
“I didn’t know he could do that…”
Welcome back to the PE Umbrella my friends. It is great to have you with us once again and I am sure you will pick up some tremendously valuable insights from todays episode.
I chat with the wonderful Bryn Llewellyn, the founder of a magnificent Active Learning resource called Tagtiv8. We chat ALL things primary PE, including his top resources, tips for teachers and even touch upon his recent visit to Toulouse! You simply don’t want to miss the knowledge bombs that he drops for YOU and how it can impact on YOUR teaching! Be sure to visit the Tagtiv8 website HERE. So what are you waiting for? Click play right here or subscribe to the PE Umbrella on iTunes to listen at your leisure whenever you choose.
What I Learned: It is more important than ever to make our learning in PE relevant. We learn so many different skills/sports but how many children have actually seen a game of hockey or rugby? The Internet is a wonderful resource filled with thousands of excellent video clips. It is important to open the eyes of our children so they can see the relevance of what they are learning. It is about SO MUCH MORE than just the sport, but also the vital life and social skills gained from these units of work. Plan carefully and play to what makes YOUR class tick.
