“Recognising that attention is a learnable skill, that focus is a learnable skill…”
Welcome to episode 125 of The PE Umbrella podcast, the only Primary PE podcast in the world, as we talk ALL things Physical Education!
Joining me Under the Umbrella this week is Seth Foster.
With over 15 years of experience working with the children and young people of Yorkshire schools, Seth has accumulated a wealth of knowledge when it comes to PE. He uses his experience being a disability sports coach, a mindfulness paws B teacher and his extensive PE teaching experience to share with you his thoughts Under the umbrella today.
Much of our conversation talks about the current PE landscape in the UK and how it has evolved during his 10 years working for the Pennine Sports Partnership. We share ideas of how being present and mindful should be a focus of our lessons and how to create a great learning environment. Not only that, but he even takes the time to talk us through his top class management tip and favourite warm up!
As always, this is simply one knowledge bomb after another, so get the note pad and pen ready! Come on over and join us Under the PE Umbrella.
Don’t forget to subscribe to The PE Umbrella on iTunes or Stitcher radio by following the links above. I would love for you to rate and review the show there, giving me insight into what I can do to further improve the quality of the show for you! Until next time though, have a great week motivating, engaging and inspiring the children that you teach, and I’ll see you soon, ‘Under the Umbrella’.
