Welcome to episode 142 of The PE Umbrella podcast, and the last of this decade! Worry not though, we will certainly be back in 2020 with more reflections, resources and interviews on ALL things Primary PE!
This week I seek to reflect on what has been a positive year for the show with a 2019 year review. After 18 months of uncertainty professionally, I have been able to get back to more regular episodes of the show and finished the year out strong. During this episode I reflect on some of the most powerful moments from interview episodes this past 12 months and talk through their impact on me, and why I think they can have a lasting impact going forward for you too. Furthermore, it links together points made by different guests to highlight some powerful learning topics from teacher tips, behaviour management and whole school approaches to improving PESSPA!
Below are links to the full episodes of the guests who featured on this 2019 summary.
Ian Holmes – Putting Physical Activity at the heart of school life
Chris Willan – Living and Breathing a PE Culture
Jorge Rodriguez – The Global PhysEd Umbrella
Seth Foster – Meeting them where they’re at
Rich Allman – A Primary PE Masterclass
Richard Cheetham – Teaching, Coaching, Play & The power of noticing
