Welcome to episode 141 of The PE Umbrella podcast!
This week on The PE Umbrella Podcast, I am joined by repeat guest Nikki Linsdell and also Jessica Foster to talk about ALL things Primary Gymnastics. This is always an area for discussion, not least because of the tremendous holistic benefits that a good quality Gymnastics unit can provide for a child, but also because as an ‘area for teaching’, gymnastics is often the one in which teachers feel the least confident or capable of delivering. So with that in mind, this episode busts those myths as we discuss the partner school programme and the many benefits you, as teachers, coaches and PE leads can gain from joining. I was particularly impressed by the offering of 30 extra-curricular lessons (you can try 10 of them for FREE) and I feel that extra-curricular gymnastics should be an offering that all primary schools should look to include year-round for different age groups.
During the episode itself, we talk up the benefits of gymnastics, put to bed and stigmas surrounding it, plus Nikki and Jessica even share their favourite games from the resources with you! They are awesome too!
So what are you waiting for? Come on over and join us Under the PE Umbrella.
