Welcome to episode 157 of The PE Umbrella podcast, the ONLY dedicated Primary and elementary PE Podcast in the world!
This week I am joined for a second stint on the show by Elementary PE teacher Cliff Roop (Catch his first episode here). On this episode, we squeeze in questions that we simply couldn’t fit in the first time around to understand better how Cliff works and thinks. We then jump in and focus on the importance of team building and cooperative type activities and units to set your students up for success in the coming year and build solid foundations. Cliff shares his recent success in using my ‘crack the codes‘ activity and details the modifications and learning that both he and his students got from it. Not to mention the several rabbit holes and tangents we venture down, this makes for a fascinating listen and brings the PE knowledge bombs…
