Welcome to episode 151 of The PE Umbrella podcast, the ONLY dedicated Primary PE Podcast in the world!
Joining me Under the Umbrella this week is primary school PE teacher Tim Mills.
During this episode, we dive into all things primary PE, followed by a focused discussion surrounding children with SEND and how to create a caring and inclusive PE environment for them in our schools. This gave us a wonderful opportunity to speak about the importance of differentiation as a means to allow all children to access and succeed in PE. I asked Tim about any worries that he has found teachers have about teaching children with SEND in PE, any top tips for including everybody and also any success stories he has of being truly inclusive and ensuring that ALL children are learning and thriving. Not only that, but we do of course cover some show favourites with great takeaways including:
- What misconceptions of Primary PE would you banish to room 101 given the chance?
- What is your best class-management tip/strategy?
- What is your all-time favourite warm-up activity?
- What is the worst lesson you have ever taught and why?
So what are you waiting for? Come on over and join us Under the PE Umbrella.
